The building and launch of a barge onto the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at Finsley Gate, Burnley. After opening shots of the preparation of timber, large pieces of wood are cut at a saw mill before workers are seen beside the canal building the boat. Ends with the barge being launched into the canal and workers dismantling the launch ramp.
